After the 80s, it was noticed that more and more men started to report having erectile dysfunction and though their numbers were not overly many, this was just the tip of the iceberg as science knew as this was a case of men not having the courage to report and go to clinics for consultation regarding this as they were embarrassed and anyway, up until the early to mid 90s, there was no definite cure anyway and going to a doctor sounded like a lost cause. They would rather try the advertised supplements, therapies and even diet to try and manage this but to no avail as not one of those things made a dent in the name of erectile dysfunction. But soon enough, by 1998 to be exact, this would soon make a 180 degree turn as now Sildenafil was out in the market, made by Pfizer, and this happens to be the very first effective drug for erectile dysfunction. Now men had something and they also came out now and the real number same up. More than 50 million US men up to this point had ED and millions more worldwide. But now that there is an effective treatment, the battle has just started but you can say now that Viagra now has the upper hand as it has now helped millions and millions of men all over the world cope up with ED. All that is left now is to find a real cure, but that will be hard but for the meantime, Viagra will lead the way.
